Apple has announced a change to its privacy-focused features, "Sign in with Apple" and "Hide My Email," which will soon utilize a dedicated subdomain for generated email aliases. Moving forward, these relay addresses will be issued under the @private.icloud.com domain rather than the standard @icloud.com domain used by primary accounts.
This shift makes it significantly easier for websites and online services to distinguish between personal accounts and relay addresses. By isolating aliases to a specific subdomain, platforms can more effectively filter or block accounts created using Hide My Email without the risk of accidentally banning legitimate, non-relay iCloud users.
