Macworld put Mac growth at 25%, while 9to5Mac cited 24%.
For fiscal 2026, Apple reported revenue of $479 billion and net income of $132 billion, and CEO John Ternus called it the company's best fiscal year ever.
The quarter did not include the iPhone Duo, which went on sale October 16 and which Apple calls the most transformational iPhone since the original.
Ternus said Apple has never sold more Macs in a fiscal year, crediting the M6 Mac mini and M5 Ultra Mac Studio.
Services topped $30 billion for the first time, reaching $31.6 billion, up 9.8%, and totaled $123 billion for the year, up 13%.
CFO Kevan Parekh said Apple generated $28 billion in operating cash flow, returned $28 billion to shareholders, and reached an all-time high in its installed base of active devices, meaning products customers are currently using, across all major product categories and geographic segments.
Not every category grew. iPad revenue fell 11%, and Wearables, Home and Accessories dropped 7.9% to $8.3 billion despite new Apple Watch models; for the year that segment was down 0.3% at $35.6 billion. Apple said profit would have been higher without a component shortage, and that supply constraints will affect coming quarters. Heading into the holidays, the company is promoting new home hardware, Touch on Mac for the first time, and an all-new Siri AI, while Macworld expects the M6 iMac and MacBook Pro to arrive in the holiday quarter and notes Apple is offering iPhone Duo replacements after widespread hinge issues. Apple scheduled a 5 p.m. ET call to discuss results and its fiscal 2027 outlook.
