IREN shares rose 13% in extended trading on Thursday following the announcement of an artificial intelligence infrastructure partnership with Nvidia. The agreement involves the deployment of up to 5 gigawatts of Nvidia’s DSX-branded infrastructure designs across IREN’s data center facilities worldwide.
These systems are specifically designed to support the intensive compute, networking, and power requirements of large-scale AI workloads. As part of the deal, IREN will grant Nvidia a five-year right to purchase up to 30 million ordinary shares at an exercise price of $70 per share.
