Google has entered into a major agreement with SpaceX to secure additional artificial intelligence computing power, according to a recent regulatory filing. Under the terms of the deal, Google will pay approximately $920 million per month to access a fleet of about 110,000 Nvidia AI chips.
The partnership is scheduled to begin in October 2024 and run through June 2029, potentially totaling $30 billion in revenue for SpaceX. The agreement comes as Google seeks to meet surging demand for its Gemini AI models and fulfill a backlog of cloud contracts that recently reached $460 billion.
