Substack has announced a partnership with Pangram to integrate AI detection tools into its platform, aiming to increase transparency regarding automated content. The new feature allows users to scan posts, notes, and comments exceeding 100 words to receive an estimate of whether the text was written by a human or generated by artificial intelligence.
This initiative is designed to address "Claudefishing," a term the company uses for instances where readers unknowingly engage with AI-generated content under the assumption of human authorship. In addition to reader-facing scans, Substack is introducing a suite of tools for creators to help them manage their digital provenance.
