According to the group, AI models are now drastically reducing the time and effort required for hackers to develop exploitation scripts—the automated code used to take advantage of software flaws—making it easier to disrupt essential public services.
To counter these risks, the letter urges companies to fix high-risk security weaknesses and improve the vetting of AI-generated code.
The coalition calls for frontier AI companies to provide defenders with access to their most advanced models and funding during major incidents, while also encouraging governments to coordinate international defense efforts.
