While Aylo issued no admission of liability or wrongdoing, the agreement establishes a fund for individuals who appeared in imagery on its sites while under the age of 18 between February 2011 and December 2024.
The financial settlement carries significant weight for the platform's infrastructure and business operations, following years of pressure from credit card processors that previously dropped the site over safety concerns.
Beyond the monetary payout, the agreement mandates strict content moderation terms, such as human and automated reviews to prevent the distribution of illegal imagery.
Aylo is also required to report suspected abuse material to authorities and verify that all individuals in uploaded content are at least 18 years old, reinforcing safety standards within the adult content industry.
This legal resolution transitions the company into a multi-year payment schedule, starting with $25 million in 2026 followed by six annual installments.
To maintain compliance, Aylo will utilize existing and expanded trust and safety measures, including its biometric identity verification for uploaders and a program that allows non-profit safety organizations to immediately disable flagged content.
These mechanisms, some of which the company states are already in practice, are designed to restrict uploads to verified users and require written proof of consent for all participants in featured videos.
