Nvidia and Corning have announced a strategic partnership to establish three new advanced manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas. These plants will be dedicated to producing optical technologies specifically for Nvidia's artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The collaboration is expected to create at least 3,000 jobs and expand Corning’s optical manufacturing capacity in the United States by ten-fold, supporting the growing demand for high-performance computing hardware. The deal focuses on the development of co-packaged optics, a technology that aims to replace traditional copper cables with optical glass fibers within AI rack systems.
