Amazon Web Services has launched a new set of features called Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, developed in partnership with Coinbase and Stripe. This initiative is designed to allow autonomous AI agents to execute financial transactions using USDC stablecoins.
By integrating blockchain-based payment rails, developers can now build AI solutions capable of paying for web content, API access, and services from other agents without human intervention. The integration utilizes Coinbase’s x402 protocol and Stripe’s wallet infrastructure to facilitate micropayments, which are often too small for traditional banking systems.
