Microsoft has unveiled an AI-driven vulnerability discovery system codenamed MDASH, which successfully identified 16 previously unknown Windows vulnerabilities. Among these discoveries were four critical remote code execution flaws affecting core components such as the Windows IPv4 stack, Netlogon, and the DNS Client.
These vulnerabilities were patched as part of Microsoft’s May 2026 update cycle, highlighting the system's ability to uncover high-risk defects that traditional testing methods may have missed. The MDASH platform operates by orchestrating more than 100 specialized AI agents through a multi-stage pipeline that includes source code scanning, validation, and the reproduction of triggering inputs.
